Full-time PhD funded positions are available for research projects in the areas of Real Estate; Art Finance; Forward Premium Puzzle, Political, Economic and Financial Instability Risks: Role and Implications for International Financial Markets; Bank Lending; and Banking System Stability.



Deadlines: 1 July 2008





The Requirements

University Graduate
Ideally an MPhil or MSc in Economics, Finance, or Econometrics;
interest in empirical research;
strong academic record;
excellent knowledge of English.
Desire to pursue an academic career or to continue a career doing research in Financial Economics in the public/private sector.

Applicants should have a critical, inquiring mind and be research-oriented with the ability to investigate topics from a fundamenal and conceptual point of view.

Conditions of employment

Maximum salary amount in Euro's a month 2558
Duration of the contract: 2 years of intensive coursework followed by 3 years of research
Maximum hours per week: 38




Additional conditions of employment:

Candidates with an MPhil or specialized MSc degree might qualify for a partial exemption from the coursework.
