PhD research fellowship within the project "Reliability qualification of subsea equipment for use in arctic waters"

The Department of Production and Quality Engineering at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway invites applicants for one PhD research fellowship within the project "Reliability qualification of subsea equipment for use in arctic waters. The PhD research fellowship is awarded for a total of 4 years, including 25 % teaching assistance at bachelor’s and master’s degree level.

A scholarship is offered within the area of Technology/Propagation characteristics for satellite communication at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (http://www.iet.ntnu.no), Faculty of Information Technology, Mathematics and Electrical Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

The background of the project is the increasing importance of satellite communication and – navigation in the polar/northern areas. Furthermore, due to the emergence of new satellite services, new frequency bands have to be utilized, e.g. 20/30 GHz- and 40/50 GHz.
